While this product is meant for older kids we were able to do it with our 4 yr old who loves machines/ building/ robots.
It took several nights to build together (there are limits to even an enthusiastic 4yrold) which is really half the reason to get this so I was glad it stretched out and.
Of course he was estactic when the robot actually moved and he could control it. Sturdy and brings pride to any young builder!
When I saw with my grandson how many small parts there were, I was a bit intimidated at first. But we took it a step at a time, learned how to read the instructional pictures, and after two enjoyable evenings, we had it together.
I found it to be a solid, well designed robot. The small pieces were solid as rocks. Nothing delicate about them. The remote works perfectly. When completed, the robot worked better than I expected.
No surprises except good ones. No disappointments. Nothing fancy, and it only does a few things, but I highly recommend it. Great project to do with your kids or grand-kids.
This is a pretty cool robot that you build with plastic bricks similar to L E G O. You build the robot around a motor and then you can remotely control it backwards, forwards and have it turn around.
This should keep my nephew occupied for a few hours! This does seem to be very similar to a L E G O brick set, with pictorial step by step instructions.
This unit requires batteries, which are not included.
I think its one of the best value for money. My 7yo son was able to assemble it on its own and had hours of fun with it.
Yes its a Lego Boost knock-off and doesnt have the fancy bells and whistles, but for a quarter of a price your kid would get the same amount of fun. We later purchased Lego Boost, but honestly I felt like my son still played with this one longer.
Bought for my 8 year old son. He put it together on his own rather quickly and had lots of fun with it. He still uses the moving parts along with different lego pieces he has collected and makes different little moving contraptions.
First, my grandson is a Lego junkie. He loves building things. He was visiting for a few days and I needed something different to entertain him. I thought this would be a challenge with 351 pieces.
I was right. He worked diligently following the picture instructions which were very clear. With a little help from his father, this 7 yr. old had it running around the floor in on the second day.
One problem was one of the tractor motors stopped working. His father texted me after they were home to say it was repaired. They found a cold solder joint.
Other than that it was a big hit with my grandson.
This looks like a first brand model with similar pieces. It is quite easy to assemble for a 10-year-old kid, and the remote, as well as the quality, are according to the price. I would definitely buy this one instead of the most expensive one.
